Bobby Fisher told ya’ll about this shit a while ago. WK came and took out a wall of graff a year ago, including a WYSE fill. So, WYSE and NEKST came and took it back. Then, it was on. Included in the, until now, strictly street beef was WYSE and 17 vandalizing WK’s gallery show poster and a lot of bomber vs. art geek beef. Paste-ups were flying everywhere.
And, Bobby Fisher told you real bomber don’t play the fuck around.

A day ago in Miami, it did.
NEKST laid out WK after the two exchanged words. WK was rushed to the hospital unconscious.

What was not mentioned here is that AFTER the WYSE NEKST, wk came back and painted over everything with grey city buff paint and left his logo so you would know he did it, like a child upset with his drawing so he breaks all the crayons and takes them home so no one else can have fun. not to mention went online and said that people like NEKST were responsible for the war in iraq because his “art” happened to be about deformed, fractured soldiers(kind of like the dadaist) if anything it is the EXACT opposite. people who do illeagle graffiti, while it might seem a selfish act, represent people living outside the system and doing what they want to do. sure it says a name but it represents more than that, it represents something that police can not control and that element of a person that people don’t want around but will just not go away. to be honest graffiti writers get minimal exposure, maybe from the hand full of graffiti kids who might see the spot but they aren’t out there with a fucking photographer (most of them) doing photo shoots in front of their “art” to show how street they are, they just do it and thats it. wk represents the commercialization of “street”. so every once in a while its funny when the street comes and beats him up
another point id like to make is that this corner is particularly hot spot and real bombers risk their freedom to do their graffiti and then he comes along in the day (pictures exist) obviously allowed to do it and used the graffiti as a BACKGROUND as he has so many times before. its not like he did a huge legal mural over it, he left them sticking out behind so his fucking retarded soldiers can look more “urban”
so then he got beat up. thats END OF STORY hopefully he he’s learned a lesson and wont go over graffiti writers and use them as backgrounds for his terrible wheat pastes anymore. fuck man, if you have the wall legal do it up, use the whole wall, create your own “tags” to put behind you fucking stupid xerox copies. its a slap in the face when you use graffiti in that way, and sometimes the graffiti writers are going to slap back (or give you a concussion)

-Its funny how things can become distorted.
-Yes it was a legal wall and as a friend of the owner it was a planned project for his building.
-There were two possibilities to work on it, paint it over or just leave it the way it was.
-Either way, I would have to go over it and I chose the second possibility. A few weeks later WYSE / NEKST came back. The owners got pissed and wanted the soldiers replaced, they had the wall painted over, leaving my tag (the WK skull). If you really think I would spend time to paint the wall over and leave a tiny tag that does not make any sense.
-Regarding taking risqué bombing the street, I would rather go with a CAN than a stupid bucket full of glue and a dumb broom any day. And putting something up political can bring much more problems besides spending time in jail.

At no point did I blame graffiti for the war in Iraq, that is some real misquoting there. It was not about me, it was not about my work, it was not about graffiti, it was about what was going on in Iraq.
-I have been working on the street for the last 23 years. Most of what I do is a display of the human struggle. For all these years, if I had been a complainer for the quantity of tag that went over my stuff I should have just quit and become an anti-graffiti team with the city, right? Instead, a few years ago, I even designed a figure of a tagger bombing the street so all were welcome to interact with it.
-I don’t own the street and chose the street to proclaim my freedom. I did start from nothing and was struggling for many years. I have worked very hard to not be in that position again and still now instead of staying in galleries I am still going out and taking the risqué to put my shit up.
-The city has changed and most of the location has been taken for commercials or gets painted over the next day, there is definitely not much space left for any of us.

bottom line is, you go over someone, that someone may knock you the fuck out…thats just part of the game whether you thought you were playing it or not…may not be fair, may not be right, but thats what it is…
